The  LRES8030PF-BP  is  a  PCIe  2.0  x4  dual-port  fiber  Gigabit  Ethernet  Bypass  network  adapter,  independently developed  by  Linkreal Co .,  Ltd.  based on the  Intel ®  I350 controller. It  is designed for  in-line  network systems to ensure uninterrupted network connectivity in case of system failures .
The  adapter  supports  three  operating   modes:  Normal,  Bypass,  and  Watchdog.   In   Normal  mode,  both  ports operate  independently.  In   Bypass   mode,  the   network   ports  are   physically   linked,  automatically  forwarding packets   between   ports  when  the   system   is   powered   off   or  fails,   maintaining   continuous   network  traffic . Watchdog mode actively monitors system health, ensuring automatic failover in the event of hardware, software, or configuration failures, preventing communication disruptions .
