When USB beats GigE for wafer inspection

GigE is the right choice for long transmission distances, complex networking and maximum bandwidth. But on a dense inspection floor, where cameras sit within a few meters of the host, USB frame grabbers remove most of the network complexity: no switch configuration, no IP planning, no jumbo-frame setup across infrastructure. Plug the card in, connect the cameras, and capture.

Independent bandwidth: cameras never fight

A shared bus is the classic failure mode of cheap multi-camera capture. LR-LINK USB frame grabber cards give each port its own dedicated bandwidth, so one camera bursting at full rate cannot starve its neighbors. Multi-camera concurrent capture runs without dropouts — the same frame-loss-free guarantee as our GigE line, in a simpler form factor.

The USB frame grabber line is rolling out in tiers: 5G cards in dual-channel 4-port and quad-channel 8-port variants, 10G dual-channel 4-port, and 20G in development.
